<p>Recognized today as one of the oldest restaurants in Cuernavaca, Morelos, <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/">Mexico</a></span>, <em><span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/restaurants/cuernavaca-restaurants-la-india-bonita.html">La India Bonita</a></span></em> is a must-visit restaurant when you&#8217;re in town. Dwight W. Morrow, the U.S. Ambassador to <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/">Mexico</a></span> from 1927 to 1930, immediately fell in love with the city of Cuernavaca and had this house built. Originally, it was known as &#8220;Casa Mañana&#8221; because every time Morrow asked the builders when the house would be done they said: &#8220;Mañana&#8221; (&#8220;tomorrow&#8221;).</p>
<p>A number of notable people visited the house, such as Mexican President Plutarco Elias Calles, painter Diego Rivera, and designer William Spratling.</p>
<p><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/cuernavaca-restaurants-la-india-bonita-b.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1601" title="cuernavaca restaurants la india bonita b" src="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/cuernavaca-restaurants-la-india-bonita-b.jpg" alt="" width="400" height="267" /></a></p>
<p>Later, the house served as a restaurant for many years. Then, after meticulous remodeling was done in order to restore its original design, the restaurant was re-opened in 1992 with the new name <em><span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/restaurants/cuernavaca-restaurants-la-india-bonita.html">La India Bonita</a></span>.</em></p>
<p>The restaurant offers <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/breakfast">breakfast</a></span>, lunch, and dinner from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Come experience <em><span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/restaurants/cuernavaca-restaurants-la-india-bonita.html">La India Bonita</a></span>&#8216;s</em> 100% Mexican atmosphere! Enjoy a leisurely meal in one of the two terraces surrounded by beautiful gardens, or just have a <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/drinks">drink</a></span> during Happy Hour between 8 and 9 p.m.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">It was a beautiful day and the perfect time to have a <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/drinks">drink</a></span> and a nice meal at a good restaurant. We had read a lot about this place before we went on our honeymoon, se we made it our mission to check out Daiquiri Dick&#8217;s.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-284" title="daiquiri-dicks-by-davidcorrea" src="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/daiquiri-dicks-by-davidcorrea-flickr1.jpg" alt="daiquiri-dicks-by-davidcorrea" width="500" height="333" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Daiquiri Dick&#8217;s (CC photo by DavidCorrea courtesy of Flickr)</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Located at the popular Los Muertos beach at the southern tip of Puerto Vallarta, Daiquiri Dick&#8217;s has over 25 years of experience and offers a spectacular view of Banderas Bay from a quietly elegant setting.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-748" title="daiquiri-dicks" src="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/daiquiri-dicks-by-andrew-collins.jpg" alt="daiquiri-dicks" width="492" height="369" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Photo by Andrew Collins</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Delight in a classic fresh-fruit daiquiri while you explore the menu and mull over which of the diverse <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com">dishes</a></span> tempts you most. Daiquiri Dick&#8217;s fuses traditional Mexican Cuisine with Tuscan, Thai, Indian, and North African influences. Be sure to time your visit right so you can enjoy one of the best sunsets in all of <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/">Mexico</a></span>.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-285" title="Daiquiri's Sunset" src="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/img_12061.jpg" alt="Daiquiri's Sunset" width="499" height="374" /></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The place is one of a kind. The menu is among Vallarta&#8217;s most sophisticated, and genuinely warm staff open-air location add to the relaxing atmosphere. We were impress by the excellent selection of <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com">dishes</a></span> and decided to try the Mahi Mahi Fillets dipped in Wasabi batter and seared extra crispy, topped with dollops of Kaffir lime and shallot raita served on a bed of greens with jicama and carrot.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-286" title="Mahi Mahi" src="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/daiquiri-dicks2.jpg" alt="Mahi Mahi" width="479" height="342" /></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Nightfall transforms the atmosphere, giving it a romantic air. Whether you want to have a romantic night out with your significant other or a good time in the company of friends, this restaurant is outstanding! The breathtaking backdrop of the sunset and crashing waves fused with the fascinating fare and relaxing music makes it a very memorable experience.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-287" title="Daiquiri's at Night" src="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/img_1219-21.jpg" alt="Daiquiri's at Night" width="499" height="374" /></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The prices are very reasonable and their menu gives you so many tantalizing options that  you&#8217;ll have a hard time narrowing it down to a single appetizer or entrée. The best part is you can come and enjoy <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/breakfast">breakfast</a></span>, lunch or dinner! So, if you&#8217;re planning a trip to Puerto Vallarta, make sure you visit the friends at Daiquiri Dick&#8217;s.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">It was the third day of our honeymoon in the paradisaic Puerto Vallarta, <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/">Mexico</a></span>. We were looking for a place where we could enjoy the ocean on a more relaxing and quiet beach, far away from the crowded beaches of Puerto Vallarta. We were recommended by a local to go to Nayarit, about a 50-minute-drive away from Puerto Vallarta to a place called Punta Mita. Apparently, there we could find the peace we were looking for, so we drove there, and guess what? The first place that caught our attention was Tino&#8217;s Restaurant.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The entrance of the restaurant was so nice and different from the other places that we decided to go in there and take a look at the menu, hoping that the prices weren&#8217;t too high. I realized that staying at Tino&#8217;s restaurant was a good decision, not only when I saw the reasonable prices, but also when we got to the beach and saw just a couple of kids playing with some rock on the shore. Finally! A quiet and beautiful beach!!</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-212" title="tinos-1" src="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/tinos-1.jpg" alt="tinos-1" width="496" height="372" /></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The day was hot, and we were hungry, so we wanted to order some <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com">food</a></span> and <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/drinks">drink</a></span> something. Two things from the menu caught our attention: the crab tacos (on the left in the photo) that are prepared with tortillas and a little <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/seafood/chipotle-shrimp-cocktail.html">chipotle</a></span> cream, and the marlin tacos (on the right) wrapped in flour tortillas.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-213" title="tinos-2" src="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/tinos-2.jpg" alt="tinos-2" width="496" height="372" /></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Of course, none of these delicious appetizers would be complete without the best Mexican Beer, Negra Modelo!!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-214" title="tinos-3" src="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/tinos-3.jpg" alt="tinos-3" width="252" height="336" /></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The day was fantastic! And little by little, people started trickling into this wonderfully secluded spot, mainly people from the U.S and Canada.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-215" title="tinos-4" src="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/tinos-4.jpg" alt="tinos-4" width="496" height="372" /></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">As you know, time flies, so after a few hours we were ready for lunch. Once again we took a look at the menu, and this time we were interested in some of the house specialties. My wife, Lindsay, ordered <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/appetizers/deep-fried-bacon-wrapped-stuffed-jalapenos.html">shrimp</a></span> a la diabla from the traditional <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com">dishes</a></span> (left in the photo), covered with a delicious <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/chiles">spicy</a></span> sauce and accompanied by some buttery steamed <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/salads/vegetables">vegetables</a></span>. In my case, I ordered one of the specialties, <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/appetizers/deep-fried-bacon-wrapped-stuffed-jalapenos.html">shrimp</a></span> in a blanket (right in the photo), that is bacon-wrapped, cheddar cheese-stuffed grilled <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/appetizers/deep-fried-bacon-wrapped-stuffed-jalapenos.html">shrimp</a></span> with a scrumptious pineapple mustard cream dipping sauce, a baked potato and buttery steamed <span class='bm_keywordlink'><a href="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/salads/vegetables">vegetables</a></span> on the side.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-216" title="tinos-5" src="http://mexicofoodandmore.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/tinos-5.jpg" alt="tinos-5" width="506" height="379" /></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Everything was absolutely fantastic! And as you can see, the portions of the meals were very good. Definitely the best place we could have chosen to stay at that day. We were so enchanted with the place the we decided to come back 2 days later. If you plan to visit Puerto Vallarta, Tino&#8217;s Restaurant in Punta Mita is a must on your &#8220;to do&#8221; list. Believe me, you will not be disappointed.</p>
